I might have an older one, but this is my favorite one.
It is of my great grandmother, Bessie Lane White Dent.
She is in the middle, surrounded by some of her kids (Uncles Bobby, Billy and Rob, Aunts Nita, Annie Kate, Bertha) and a grandkid (Aunt Bertha holding her niece Latonia Dent)
Doesn’t she look like she is holding court?
I LOVE this picture. Sometimes I just sit and stare at it, really just at her.
I was fortunate to actually know my great grandmother and interact with her into my adulthood.
She was a very sweet person. I’m glad to have been blessed to know her.
