Robert Jackson was born about 15 August 1880 or 1887 in Georgia. He is my paternal great-grandfather.
His US World War I Draft Registration Card, dated 2 September 1918, lists his birthdate as 15 August 1880. He lived in Dawson, Terrell County and was a farmer employed by J. H. Kelley also of Dawson, Georgia.
Robet was of medium height and build, with brown eyes and black hair. He lost his left leg at the knew and lost one eye.
He lists my great grandmother, Lillie May as nearest relative.

In the 1920 US Census, Lilly Mae is living with her father and step mother and her marital status is listed as “divorced”. She is age 24 and her daughters are with her. They are Minnie (age 9), Irene (age7), Ola Mae (age 3) and Lizzie (age 5 months).
Robert and Lillie May’s daughter, Ola Mae, 25 September 1932 at age 13 in Dawson. Ola Mae was born 12 September 1913 and had an occupation of house work. Robert’s place of birth shows Webster County, Georgia.

In the 1940 US Census, Robert is listed with
- Willie Jackson, wife, age 42 (born about 1898)
- Irene Jackson, daughter, age 27 (born about 1913)
- Jessie Smith, grandson, age 11 (born about 1929)
His occupation is listed as gardner. Irene is a cook, and Willie does not work.
Willie could actually be Lillie May, but no other research has turned up records that could show this link for sure.
Lillie Mae died 13 September 1941. Robert is listed as the informant on her death certificate.

There aren’t many records I have found on Robert. Other researchers on Ancestry are listing Willis Jackson and Catherine World as his parents. I cannot find any links to add these two people as ancestors at this time.
